Diablo III
Diablo III
If you’re a gamer then you are already playing this week’s release of DiabloIII. If your waiting for pay day or waiting for a rainy day here are some things you might want to know about the game before you run out and buy a copy.
One, DiabloIII is extraordinary!
DiabloIII is everything that was DiabloII and more. It is the same game play with extra fuzzy bits to make it modern. From new skill trees to new classes that are unique and extremely innovative. Also, DiabloIII displays stunning graphics that are simple yet very realistic. This game is without a doubt everything a “12 year” in the making sequel should be.
Two, DiabloIII is for the most part 100% perfect.
The reason I say “for the most part” is that this game requires an internet connection to play. Now, in today’s age this should not be a problem. In DiabloIII there is no “Off-line” game play, this means that anytime you want to play the game you have to have a internet connection and connect to remote servers to play the game. This might not seem like a big issue , yet for some of us we would like to have a LAN party with our friends and play a local match for a couple of hours, DiabloIII will not allow this. The online only is the only flaw with this game so far.
Three, with the online play only, DiabloIII‘s multi-player system is super Simple.
In the game you have a standard “Social” button. By clicking it once you can add a friend by using their Battle.net “Battle Tag.” A required Battle.net gamers handle that consists of your name and four digit number. Once added, if your friend is playing, at the character select screen you will see who is online and have an option of ‘Quick Join’ and instantly you are loaded into whatever and whereever they are. Either in town or the middle of a brawl.
And Four, this game does require some minimum hardware.
Like always the game lists a minimum hardware list and a recommended one. You don’t need to go all out and buy a top of the line computer, but to enjoy DiabloIII’s splendor I suggest you double check your machine. Make sure you have plenty of Hard Drive space. Remember, the less free space you have on your hard drive by percentage, the slower the machine runs. 4 GB of RAM should be your minimum and 8GB your aim. Finally, your Video Card is the single most important component. If you have a limited budget, I would say put it all here. An NVIDIA® 260 or better is what is recommended by DiabloIII, but I suggest you try and reach for a 400 or 500 series. Please note that not all 400 or 500 series cards will be better than the 260. If you need some help choosing the Video Card or any other component you are thinking about, please don’t hesitate to ask a professional or contact us here at The Guild.
Please remember, there are some Video cards that are just not compatible and a list of these can be found here, DiabloIII Unsupported Video Card List.
